"We weren't trying to disrupt prop firms. We were trying to build the one we wished existed when we started.
The team behind Meridian had been trading professionally for years before this company existed — and like most serious traders, we'd been on the receiving end of delayed payouts, retroactive rule changes, and customer support that treated us like a liability.
By the early 2020s, the prop firm industry had exploded. Most of it had become exactly what trading shouldn't be: flashy, addictive, and built to harvest fees rather than produce traders. The signal had drowned in the noise.
So in early 2024 we started Meridian. The name comes from the lines that mark patient, deliberate orientation across a globe — the opposite of the chaotic, «5-minute scalp the FOMC» energy the industry had drifted into. We wanted a brand that signalled craft, not casino.
Two years in, we've paid out $2.8M to 26,000 traders across 92 countries. We're not the biggest, and that's intentional. We'd rather grow steadily with traders who treat this seriously than chase volume from gamblers — and we'd rather stay independent than scale on someone else's timeline.
